Terms of Use

These terms apply to your use of this website and to purchases from our shop. By using the site, or by checking the box at checkout, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. In these terms, "we" and "us" mean Retrograde Motion Pictures.

Using the site

You must be 18 or older to place an order, or have a parent or guardian do it for you. Please do not scrape the site, interfere with it, or try to get around its security or rate limits.

Products, prices, and orders

We do our best to describe and price items accurately. If an item is listed at the wrong price or is unavailable, we may cancel your order and refund you in full. Prices are in US dollars. Some items let you choose your own price above a stated minimum.

Payments are processed by Square. Your order is accepted when your payment succeeds and you receive a confirmation email.

Sales tax

We charge sales tax where the law requires it, currently on items shipped to Utah. Tax is shown at checkout before you pay.

Donations

Donation amounts you add at checkout are voluntary gifts to support our film work. They are not charitable contributions and are not tax deductible. Donations are non-refundable unless you were charged by mistake.

Shipping

We ship to addresses in the United States. A flat shipping charge is shown at checkout. Unless an item page says otherwise, we ship within 30 days of your order. If we cannot, we will email you with a new ship date and your option to cancel for a full refund. Risk of loss passes to you when the carrier delivers the package to the address you gave us, so please check your address before you pay.

Returns and refunds

If your order arrives damaged, defective, or not what you ordered, email us within 30 days of delivery with your order number and a photo, and we will replace it or refund you. Other returns are at our discretion. Refunds go back to the original payment method.

Emails

If you sign up for updates, we may email you news about our films and shop. Reply to any email to unsubscribe. We will still send order emails about purchases you make.

Ownership of our content

The films, photographs, text, and other content on this site belong to Retrograde Motion Pictures or its licensors and are protected by copyright. You may view them for your own personal use. You may not copy, republish, or sell them without our written permission. Email us to ask.

Third-party services and links

The site uses services from others, such as Square for payments, and may link to other websites. We are not responsible for their content or practices.

Disclaimers and limits on liability

The site is provided "as is", and we do not promise it will always be available or error free. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim about an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that cannot be waived.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Utah, unless the law where you live requires otherwise.
